Welcome to the Researcher‘s Mobility Portal - Latvia

The Researcher‘s Mobility Portal - Latvia (RMP Latvia) supports the work of the European Researcher‘s Mobility Portal, which is a joint initiative of the European Commission and the 33 countries participating in the European Union‘s Sixth Framework Programme for Research (FP6). It also addresses the special needs of the Latvian Research Community.

The purpose of this Portal is to create a more favourable environment for career development opportunities for researchers by providing the necessary structured information.

The Portal provides access through links to a selection of national (international), regional and sectoral web resources covering:

• Information about research fellowships and grants;
• Research job opportunities published by the different actors (universities, industry, research organisations, foundations …);
• Up to-date information about administrative and legal issues regarding researchers mobility;
• Practical information about cultural and family-related matters (daily life, housing, schooling, day-care, language courses, etc.).
